LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM; 2 OCTOBER, 2025 – NME (nme.com), the globally renowned music and pop culture brand, announces American country singer and rising star Waylon Wyatt as the cover star of the September/October 2025 edition of NME Magazine, released alongside an issue of Guitar.com Magazine featuring acclaimed guitarist Yvette Young.

In a wide-ranging feature, Wyatt opens up about his move from a small town, coping with a devastating loss, and finding inspiration in unexpected places. “It’s a blessing that I put my pen to paper one time and it’s saved lives, in a way,” he tells NME. He reflects on the universal appeal of his journey: “No matter your age, lifestyle or where you come from, you can follow your dreams and make it.”

The new issue also shines a light on some of the most exciting moments in music and culture right now, with photo highlights from Reading Festival, in-depth interviews with Iraqi shoegaze artist Nabeel, jazz-pop star Laufey, and Bobby Carter, one of the key producers behind NPR’s iconic Tiny Desk series. In film and television, the magazine features conversations with Alison Brie and Dave Franco about their body-horror flick Together, as well as Alien: Earth actor Alex Lawther. Album reviews explore bold new releases from Dijon, Amaarae, Jim Legxacy, Wolf Alice, and CMAT.

The new issue of NME Magazine is available exclusively at nme.com/magazine. Superfans subscribed to the NME Magazine mailing list are eligible for randomly allocated queue-jump access before each drop.

As a special bonus, this edition of NME is released alongside the September/October issue of Guitar.com Magazine, featuring Yvette Young on the cover. The guitarist shares her creative process, speaking on independence and imagination: “No one’s going to translate the weirdo vision you have in your head better than you.”
