LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM; 31 JULY, 2025 – NME (nme.com), the globally renowned music and pop culture brand, announces London-born singer-songwriter Kwn (pronounced kay-one) as the cover star of the July/August 2025 edition of NME Magazine.

Known for her seductive, self-assured take on R&B, Kwn opens up in the issue about confidence, queerness, and pushing her sound further with her debut EP With All Due Respect, released shortly after her feature on The Cover. “I like writing sexy, feeling-myself music because it’s fun to make. I just want to feel good,” she tells NME. “I already know what I’m capable of, and it’s more than this.”

The new issue of NME Magazine is available exclusively at nme.com/magazine. Superfans signed up to the NME Magazine mailing list are eligible for randomly allocated queue-jump access before each drop.

Also in the issue: Yungblud opens up about his new album, Wes Anderson talks symmetry and soundtracks, we rank every Miley Cyrus album from worst to best, and dive into new releases from Lorde, Addison Rae, and Turnstile. Plus, our first impressions of 28 Years Later and Death Stranding 2.

As a special bonus, this issue of NME is bundled with the debut edition of MusicTech Magazine, a new 40-page print title spotlighting the intersection of sound and technology. The inaugural cover features Grammy-winning producer Blake Slatkin, who takes readers inside his creative mindset and studio process. Known for his work with The Kid LAROI, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and more, Slatkin reflects on instinct, collaboration, and keeping up with the ever-changing rules of pop production. “Anything I do when I make music is in service of the song itself,” he shares. In a feature-length interview, he speaks candidly about shaping some of the biggest hits of the decade and why he believes artists have never been more essential. “They make worlds and communities, they make people feel seen, and they make people feel a part of something.” The return of MusicTech Magazine to print was announced in April 2025, alongside Guitar.com, with each set to publish three print editions a year on an alternating schedule.
