LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM; 12 FEBRUARY, 2025 – NME (nme.com), the world’s defining voice in music and pop culture: breaking what’s new and what’s next since 1952, unveils this year’s NME 100 – the brand’s annual list of essential emerging artists.

This year’s NME 100 showcases just how packed with exciting new talent the modern music landscape is. Featuring artists from the worlds of indie, R&B, rap, digicore, post-punk, shoegaze, metal, electronic, soul, idol music and many more, the NME 100 captures the rapid and innovative ways genres are blurring today. The 2025 edition of the annual list celebrates global and diverse new talent pushing boundaries and pursuing uncharted territory.

To be eligible for the NME 100, artists cannot have released their debut studio album before the list’s publication, and artists can only feature once. The NME 100 is not a ranked list – all artists are arranged alphabetically and amassed through an expansive nomination and curation process involving the NME team and a mix of members from all corners of the music industry.

With the debut edition launching in 2017, the NME 100 has featured the likes of Billie Eilish, The Last Dinner Party, Nia Archives, English Teacher, Paris Texas, Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C., Holly Humberstone, Genesis Owusu, Fred Again, Ashnikko, Arlo Parks and more.

Karen Gwee, Managing Editor (Music) at NME Networks, says: “We’re thrilled to present the NME 100 of 2025, our annual list of 100 essential emerging artists we believe have what it takes to leave an indelible mark on music as we know it. We look forward to seeing what trails these artists blaze in 2025 and beyond, and to tell their stories as they unfold. There’s so much incredible talent out there – our work of discovery and storytelling is never done…”
